CBI Raids: Crackdown or Callousness?

The office of a chief minister being sealed off by the central bureau of investigation, a central agency does not augur well. The political pundits see this move quite derogative for the office. Though the chief minister of Delhi Mr arvind kejriwal has made sharp attack on the centre for the raid by the CBI to prove the complicity of one of his officers in nefarious practices, but no one can deny of the fact that he is well within his right to ask for prior information before the raid was conducted.

Do we live in the Ideal World?

If someone is seemingly guilty before the central investigating agency, it has all the right to go ahead. But, can the officers of this agency exclude prime minister out of the loop to crack down on a corrupt official who is close to him? In any ideal world, the crackdown of the central agency will be very much justified. But, regrettably, we do not live in an ideal world.

Was the Raid a Political Vendetta?

The crux of the article however is that it will be quite premature to judge who is right and who is wrong, as it is up to the court to decide beyond any reasonable doubt as to who is guilty and who is not, but the action should not be motivated by any political vendetta.
