Attack on Artillery Base of Army in Kupwara

Terrorist attacked on an army camp in Panjgam sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir in wee hours. A Captain, a JCO and a young soldier were killed in a suicide attack. Two terrorists were also killed in the operation of the security forces.

Attack at 5.15 in the Morning

The terrorists tried to enter the army camp in Panjgam in Kupwara near LoC around 5.15 am. The security forces started operations against the terrorists and killed two terrorists. After this attack the security forces surrounded the whole area. The search operations are being carried out inside and outside the camp. Constant firing is on from both sides till the last report came in.

The Injured Jawans were Airlifted

Three soldiers of the army, including Captain, were killed in the terror attack. 5 young people were injured. The injured jawans have been airlifted to Srinagar. The injured jawans are being treated at Srinagar Army Hospital.

Pakistan Keeps on Allowing its Land for Terrorist Operations

Defense experts talked about the hostile behaviour of Pakistan. He expressed the need to do surgical attack and teach Pakistan a lesson of waging a proxy war against India. Pakistan is not desisting from its actions. He said that this area is near LOC, hence it is a heaven for the terrorists to carry out their terrorist activities. We have to go there to stop them from where there are launching the attacks.  We need to take tough action against Pakistan.

Home Ministry Convenes Emergency Meeting

After the Kupwara assault, the Home Ministry has convened a high level meeting. The meeting, chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh, will be held at 11 PM. Apart from Rajnath Singh, other officers of the Home Ministry, including Home Secretary, Joint Secretary Jammu Kashmir, Chief Secretaries of Jammu Kashmir, Secretaries of intelligence, and other officers of the Ministry will be present in the meeting. The recent attacks in Kashmir have accelerated. At the same time, the incidents of stone-throwing have also increased.

In the meeting of the Home Ministry, there will be discussions on the ongoing attacks on the security forces and the attacks of stones in Kashmir. At the same time, the amount spent on the special package given for Kashmir will also be discussed.

Army camps are on target

Recently a grenade attack was conducted at the CRPF camp in Nahatta, Jammu and Kashmir. A policeman was martyred in this attack. Earlier in the terror attacks in Uri, Pathankot and Kupwara, the targets of security forces were targeted.
