Nepal and China Start First-ever Joint Military Exercises

Nepal Army has long been practising with Indian and American forces. But this is the first time that he is doing military exercises with China. Nepali army spokesman Jhankar Bahadur said that a small group of Chinese soldiers and the same Nepalese soldiers are participating in military exercises for the first time.



'Sagarmatha Friendship-2007' will run till April 25

The Nepal Army said that this practice, called 'Sagarmatha Friendship-2007', which lasted for 10 days, will run till April 25. Sagarmatha is the name of Nepal's Eve Mount Everest. Mt. Everest is the world's highest peak which is on the border between Nepal and China. Both countries are doing this for the sake of their preparation in the fight against terrorism threatened by the world. The Chinese Peoples Liberation Army has reached to participate in joint military exercises.
Significantly, Nepal proposed a joint military exercise in front of Chinese Defense Minister General Chang Wankyuan on Kathmandu on 24 March.
