CBI Visits Sisodiya’s House in connection with investigation of Talk to AK Program

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has alleged the irregularities in giving contractual work contracts to 'talk to one' program.
On recording statements of Delhi's deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Friday, a CBI official said, "A team of officials went to register the statement of Sisodiya at his residence and to investigate the FIR lodged in the talk to one program scam."

However, the Deputy Chief Minister's office told that it was the raiding operation of the CBI's Sisodiya residence. This action was taken by the CBI on the complaints of irregularities in the talk to AK program launched by the Information and Public Relations Department for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's campaign.

According to the official information released by the CBI, in this case, the investigation agency team went to the house of Sisodiya for clarification on some points. Refuting the raid on the CBI, the CBI said that it cannot be called 'raiding or investigating'. CBI started initial investigation (PE) in January this year on the complaint of a private public relations company, in the 'talk to one' program, in an initiative to provide benefits against the rule.

This matter is connected to the Information and Public Relations Department of Delhi Government, which is in-charge minister Sisodia. Earlier, Sisodia's Media Advisor Arunoday Prakash, while giving information about the raid on the government house at Mathura Road in Sisodia, said that on one hand Chief Minister Kejriwal was inspecting the facilities available to patients in government hospitals, on the other hand CBI Sisodiya is raids at home '

The CBI filed a PE in this case on the complaint of the Vigilance Department of Delhi Government. CBI sources said that according to the rules, the operation of PE cannot be carried out under the guise or investigation. In the complaint of this matter, the department decided to take the services of a well-known public relations consultant to run a campaign to popularize the Talk to One program. In lieu of this campaign, the proposal of payment of 1.5 crore rupees was prepared by the department. It is alleged that despite the objection to the proposal by the principal secretary of the department, the government accepted the proposal and forwarded the campaign. The CBI has filed a complaint on the complaint and is investigating the role of Sisodia and others in this case.
