China is not leaving any stone unturned to strengthen its authority over the controversial South China Sea. In this effort, it has now opened a modern cinema hall on Yongshing Island of South China Sea.

According to the official news agency Xinhua, this theater has been opened in the new city of Sansha in China's South China Sea. It has been named as Santha Yinlong Cinema. On Saturday, more than 200 local residents and soldiers watched the first show of Chinese film 'The Eternity of Giao Yule'.

Goan Shojiing, general manager of Hainan Media Crew, said, "A movie will be shown daily in the cinema hall. People and soldiers living on the island of Yongshing can enjoy the film like other citizens of the country. According to Xinhua, this cinema hall is equipped with advanced equipments. It has a modern 4 digital projector as well as a 3D screen. This gives the audience plenty of fun to watch the film on the big screen.

It is worth mentioning that China is expanding its facilities in the disputed area along with putting people on its occupied islands. It has also made many artificial islands in this area. Many of them have also built a military base and a runway. Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan also claim their claim on the South China Sea.
